The City: 2nd International Conference
February 17, 2011 – February 18, 2011Present your research at our second international conference in the beautiful setting of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, the 2010 Winter Olympics city. Our venue is Simon Fraser University’s Centre for Dialogue at the downtown campus. The first "The City" conference, held in November of 2009, was a magnificent success, including participants from over 15 countries. Conference proceedings can be found in our online journal (see: www.interdisciplinarythemes.org).

The Planned World: Urban, Rural, Wild
This conference aims to bring together scholars and students from a broad range of disciplines touching on the notion a planned world. We will consider submissions for twenty minute papers and for poster presentations, and are intersted in a range of participants, from students to university and college professors to practitioners and administrators in fields related to the theme.
